Growing up in the Thung Song district of southern Thailand, I used to travel to the open market in a rickshaw or samlor in Thai (which means three wheels). The market was a collection of food shops selling delicious Thai street food made fresh every day at the market. Each had specialty dishes made from local fresh ingredients at affordable prices.
